We’re taking the Log Book beyond the page for the first time, with our first-ever video interview. For our first guest, we’re joined by inspiring ultra-runners and KOTWF athlete, Rebecca Devereux, also known as @rebeccarunswild over on Instagram.
A vet, mum of two and accomplished ultra-runner, Rebecca finished third in the Montane Winter Spine Sprint and has built a running life around exploring wild places and taking on big challenges.
In this conversation, we talk about what draws her to the trails, the importance of representation in the sport through her involvement with Black Trail Runners, and how she balances training with work and family life. Rebecca also shares how she approaches training for ultra-distance events, why consistency matters more than simply clocking up the miles, and the role running plays in her mental health.
